Horror Community Highlights – July 17, 2010

  • Before They Were Famous
Long before she was being chased by dark haired aquatic ghosts, Naomi Watts was in Children of the Corn 4. I never knew that. Now I do.
  • Exploitation Movie Posters
The Golden Age of Comic Books
If you’d like to see the movie posters for Boy Slave, Blonde Bait, and I Was a Teenage Frankenstein (and why on earth wouldn’t you?) then check out this post.
  • There’s a Hair in my Mouth! Or, Why Vampires Make Better Boyfriends
    The Bloodsprayer.Com
I’ve been hoping that Sookie can make it work with vampire Bill and not fall for her new, hairer love interest Alcide. And this post gives me reason to hope.
  • The Ending to Signs Was Fine
    The Paradise of Horror
Aside from the superb film Unbreakable, I’m not a fan of M. Night Shymalamadingdong, but I agree that the ending to this film really isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. It’s certainly not as bad as anything in The Happening.
  • Everyone Has The Willies!
    The Horror Digest
I’ll admit that when I saw the first list of “top ten willy inducing moments” I did not think it had anything to do with horror. But as disappointed as I might have been at first, this is a really terrific roundup of the top ten moments in horror film that scare bloggers the most.
  • BJ-C’s Favorite Boob-Related Deaths
    Day of the Woman
If the title of this post doesn’t compel you to go read it right now, nothing I can say here will either.
